The Tonopah Club was
opened in 1913 in Tonopah, Nevada and closed in 1974. These
chips are very rare. We did an internet search and only found
two pages referencing these chips. One site had pictures but
did not even have all the chips. Here is a chance to own the
complete set, a rarity among the fast growing hobby of gaming
chip collecting. (No, we will not break up this
wonderfully-matched set).
All the chips are
either uncirculated or about uncirculated. Only the 1$ and $25
might have possibly slid across the poker table, or have been
handled, a couple times - with a very small scuff or evidence of
wear showing. The chips are in MUCH nicer condition than the
scans reflect since much more of the gold gilt are present than
you see here (and they even look really good here!)
Reference values
for each of these chips reach the hundreds of dollars!
