Jarbidge Birds Eye View Real Photo Card, Circa 1906.

 Very Early Jarbidge Post Card

Price: $ 175.00
We grade this card  good.

This Real Photo Card shows Jarbidge Nevada at the beginning of her history.  The cancel is light,

but definitely Jarbidge. The date is no longer readable, however the picture (late summer based

on foilage and river) and description of the town by the card-sender indicates the card is as early

as summer, 1906.  The cancel is light and indicates Feb., probably 1917 as the author dates.

The card front is a birds eve view of town and is labeled "Birdseye View of Jarbridge, Nev."

The card is numbered 2158.  The back of the card is even more Interesting.

The sender writes in fine calligraphy that the town is mostly tents and log homes and that he

is "at the mine stirring soup". We grade the card good. There is moderate wear on the corners and side; there are several pin.

holes.  Canceled once-cent green stamp is extra fine with light yellowing. A rare early Real Photo Card of Jarbidge. TOUGH early mining RPC.
